Grey’s Anatomy is slumping in the ratings this season. No one is sure if that is due to lackluster storylines, the departure of Isaiah Washington, or something else. But the fact that their lead-in, Ugly Betty, isn’t doing very well either, doesn’t help. I would think that enough women would tune in just to see Dr. McDreamy in his scrubs to guarantee that the show was always in the top ten.

Well, J. K. Rowling isn’t done making headlines with her Harry Potter series. She recently appeared at Carnegie Hall as the final stop of her US book tour to celebrate Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and when asked about Albus Dumbledore’s past love life, she dropped the bombshell that she always imagined the Hogwarts Headmaster as gay. No word on how many parents were pissed about having to have that talk with their kids long before they expected to.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the conservative co-host of ABC’s The View, announced that she’ll be taking her maternity leave a little earlier than expected. She is pregnant with her second child with husband, Tim. The due date isn’t until early November, but since Tim was just signed as quarterback with the Arizona Cardinals, she needs some extra time to get settled in to a new home in Phoenix.

The musical episode of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer called “Once More, With Feeling” is so popular that people have been watching it at movie theaters. They dress up and sing along, Rocky Horror Picture Show-style. Fox isn’t happy with the whole thing, though, and has put a stop to the practice until the whole legal thing is straightened out. Which means, of course, “When do we get paid?”

This is sad - I really thought this was one Hollywood marriage that had a chance. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe are officially no longer married. They just need to finalize a few little details - like custody of the kids and how to split up the money. The fact that she’s single should make Reese happy, though, since she’s been dating Jake Gyllenhaal for the past few months. Well, she hasn’t confirmed it - but everyone pretty much assumes it to be the case.
